I think it's like doctors who are hired to kill someone by injection. Mutating a person just because he "Feels he should be the other sex" its just like cutting a persons leg because he says "i feel like i should have been born without leg" and doing it for them. Why are these doctors allowed to do this kind of operations that are not needed.

.Arrogance & greed...anything for a buck....these doctors have zero scruples and should be considered to be butchers and not healers...they are contemptable quacks feeding on the misfortune of others....

No, these doctors are not stupid. They are performing a service for individuals who have probably already gone through a great deal of trouble from ignorant people, who just want to feel whole. I don't judge anyone if that is what makes them happy in life. I won't argue the point that they do it for money. Of course they do, we live in a money obsessed world. Everything is about how much cash you can get for what you got (skills). I.e.- models, football players, surgeons, lawyers, singers, etc.

I just don't think its wise to state that this type of operation is not needed. You're going to ruffle more than a few feathers.

You know what I feel like everyone has the right to get any operation they "feel they need" no matter what. Just like a women who wants bigger breast or a man that uses a device to elongate his penis. To me it is no different and who are you to judge...anyway. You would never know they were a trans-genders unless they told you. Who cares if the doctors are in it for the money! Hello, they went to school to make that money! Football players make more money than doctors and all they do is entertain, at least doctors are trying to help someone no matter what the case may be!

In order to get a sex change operation, at least in North America, a patient needs to go through many levels of preparation and counseling. Only when the medical authorites and completely convinced it is the right thing to do and ethically appropriate to the person's situation, will they go ahead with the surgery.

Docotrs are working for money, yes, same as anyone else. There are also gun runners who seel to inpoverished countries hoping they'll kill each other. But guess what, someone will always take that job.

I wouldn't blame the doctor for it in these cases, it's what the man or woman wants to do, and they will continue searching until they find someone who's willing to do good work.

Listen, these doctors are doing it becuse they want to help people. if they want it.. than a doctor is there to serve them. Its an act of compassion these doctors are trying to help these people by making them happy with themselves. just like a 500lb person wanting gastrobipass, Its not recomended, but if its what they want... Than you do it for your costumer. (Plus in the business world the Customer is always right)
