People are not jealous of the Muslim religion, just uninformed. And possibly it is the fastest growing religion but only because in most Muslim countries women are not allowed to use birth control and thus their (Muslim) populations will increase more rapidly.

At one time the plague was the fastest spreading disease, that didn't make anyone jealous of it. Just because Muslims produce children and converts at a faster rate than other religions doesn't make it the best and it certainly doesn't mean that any non-Muslim is jealous of it.

If someone was jealous of the Muslim religion then they would convert to Islam (as indeed some do). If Islam was such a great religion you would get whole populations converting to it in the same way that happened when Christianity ousted the old pagan religions throughout Europe. But I suggest that you will have a long wait before you see mosques being built across Middle America...

Nobody is jealous, some people have, let's say, doubts about Muslims - all because of terrorists, you know. But most people accept Islam as an interesting, beautiful religion, just like all the other hundreds of religions out there. I always say, at the end of the day, it's up to you what you believe, however extreme, but personally I don't think religion is any excuse for these terrorists, they are cold-blooded murderers. Just to be clear, I'm not at all saying that all muslims are terrorists - completely on the contrary!

If you are the religious type, and you read the Qu'ran, you will see it has a good basis. What is said appears to be fair and easonable - even better if you are male. It's all very idealistic. It sounds good, and you could readly accept becoming a Muslim.

But then (especially if you are a female) go and live among a Pashtun tribe in the NWFP where you will be treated as mere chattel. Not allowed outside your own home, you will be denied education, health, and personal expression. You may be happy to be a meek, unassuming, unquestioning, empty shell of a human being.

Or, you may want to go and practice your Islam in Africa, where up to 98% of females have their genitals mutilated.

Very nice, huh? Now tell me how jealous am I? And I was BORN into the Muslim faith.

Cause some people are just not use to seeing something different than what they are accustomed to growing up with. I think the muslim religion and followers follow a more strict guideline than any religion practiced in the United States. Everyone is going to have their opinion about what religion is better than the other so I am not going any further than what I had typed.

Personally, I never noticed that islam was growing. At the rate they keep blowing themselves up, they should be in full decline.
Anyway, the increases probably come from countries they've invaded or taken over and forced the indigenous population to convert at gunpoint as is normal for them. So, many of theose converts are just trying to stay alive and probably don't believe it anyway. After all, if mohommedanism started to take over here (UK), I'd get in quick, convert then train to be a mullah or, better still an ayatollah - that way I'd have a good life at the expense of the hoi-polloi.

It is the 'fastest growing' because birth rates in the areas of the world that are primarily Muslim continue to grow, while most Christian areas, particularly the developed west has achieved a lower, or in some cases in Europe, negative birth rate. Certainly there are converts to all religions, and there are those who don't express a faith, yet in this case they are just breeding a population.

i think you have it wrong. jealous is not the correct word. i would say people are leary. When fanatical muslim's attack innocent people muslim leaders never speakout against the attacks.
what does it being the fastest growing religion have to do with anything? from what i have seen of islam they treat women like dirt and are very narrow minded.
i am a christian, i am a sinner. i don't believe i am better then anyone else because of my religion. i also don't believe that anyone who doesn't agree with me should be killed.

If people have a problem with Islam it's because of your Muslim brothers murdering so many innocent men, women and children for no reason other than their warped beliefs.

most muslim countries live in little more than slums, where women are treated as second class citizens, and where islamic schools teaching methods are very bizzare, all that rocking back n forth citing the koran. they are called cults in the western world, not religion.
