I guess that curiosity could play a factor.

Some men may not have had a very strong male role-model in their lives- though this is DEFINITELY not to say that that is the case with all cross-dressers.

I guess it's similar to asking why we follow the latest fashion trends- when we look in the mirror wearing something that is up-to-date and complies with the image that we're trying to achieve, it makes us feel good about ourselves- when those men look into the mirror at themselves in those outfits, they feel something special inside-- a warmth or an expression of an emotion that they don't feel that they can otherwise express.

Dunno...I assume that some are bored with Men's clothes and feel that women have more choice that he's missing out on.
