Wouldn't your grandma be the person to ask? Or if she's gone, her husband, kids, sisters, etc. Spicy red sauce and chicken giblets does not sound like anything I've ever seen I bet it's her own recipe.

Almond Red Sauce
1/2 c Slivered Almonds; Toasted
1 c Onion; Finely Chopped
1 Clove Garlic; Crushed
2 T Vegetable Oil
8 oz Tomato Sauce; 1 cn
2 t Paprika
1 t Red Chiles; Ground
1/4 t Red Pepper; Ground

That sauce was probably harissa
