It really depends on where you are staying in NJ. There are plenty of trains and buses to take

The major public transports are:

New Jersey Transit and Amtrak

There are tons of buses and trains from the nearer suburbs of NJ but fewer as you get further from the city.

It depends a LOT on where you are in NJ. Give us more detail....

The Port Authority bus. Or just walk over the George Washington Bridge.

It depends on where in NJ you are coming from and where in NY you are going to. Check out njtransit.com. Use the "Trip Planner" which will show you options for travel itineraries and the fares for each mode of transportation.

take the nj turnpike north till you hit pennsylvana turnpike then in about1hour and a half you will be in new york or you can take 295 all the way to ny just have lots of traffic lights that way

NJ transit trains... or look into taking a bus... there are MANY cheap buses.

it depends on where in New Jersey you are starting from and where in NYC you are going to.

No matter what you do... AVOID DRIVING and PARKING in NYC !!!
