one of the greatest minds and a man whom i admire most was india's first prime minister jawaharlal nehru. in his autobiography this is what he wrote
'if a human being wants to be perfect he or she needs to change their views with the times, and those who stubbornly refuse to do so will be left out, and those who are left out will always find someone or something to blame their problems on'

nehru wrote this over 60 years ago, and dont you think this goes for muslims who have decided that they are not going to change their religion to suit modern times?

I agree. The lack of a desire to adapt to the modern world has stifled their growth and development to the point that they are over a century behind the western world. Right now the entire middle east is embroiled in a bloody civil war not unlike the one the US was in back in the 1860's. If they were more concerned with keeping up with American and European Technological and commercial advancements, they would be a lot more prosperous and there wouldn't be a ton of Caucasians taking all of their oil away right now!!!!

I agree that one must adapt to changes in the environment if they wist to stay perfect (or at least function properly). What might have been perfect 1,000 years ago is not perfect now. In fact, what was perfect 50 years ago is no longer perfect. I doubt things will change on this planet until the guys in charge figure that out.

Ok, first off, no one is "ever" perfect, unless your talking about JESUS CHRIST! Man has too many inperfections and short comings.

Though, he can "try" to be the best he can be, he will always be in "sin".

Now, to ask anyone, who is Religious, to "change" because of the "times" is pure nonesense!

I would not change the Bible, or my thoughts about the Bible, because of modern times.

Why should the Muslims want to change thier Qu'ran because it doesnt "suit you"? You either believe, or dont believe, (thats what FAITH is all about).

You will find all things that the Bible says, that is true, and they even applyfor today's standards. As our GOD, handed this down to Moses and other Prophets.

Remember GOD is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. HE is there before Time began, and will be when Time ends for us.
HE set the "standard" that HE wanted us to live by, but, like Adam and Eve, they couldnt, and the Jews, they couldnt, and now you, want to change it to "your way", because you dont want to adhere to the Word.

I wish you well..

Jesse

The Bible will be God's word until he comes a second time. The prophesies in the Bible speaks about all that will happen up until that time. Therefore, the Bible truths are relevant no matter what era you live in because Jesus hasn't returned as yet. To be perfect is to be like Jesus, to follow him and repent from sin.

I agree that what he wrote is a good way of thinking but the only problem is no one can ever be perfect. Everyone will always have some type of flaw.

There is no such thing as "the perfect human...."

To be a "perfect human" you would have to be someone who never
makes a mistake....,has an accident...., or misjudges...blah, blah..
I never met such a person....and I doubt just "changing
with the times" would create one...
