I'm not really sure what to say, but i have the same problem...sometimes it is stress or depression related, if you have anxiety it can do the same thing..some people are just naturaly that way, maybe you need to increase your callorie intake..it could also be a sign of an illness like cancer, but there are a number of things that can do the same thing....as for hair loss..it is normal for your hair to go through periods of growth then periods were it sheds..but if your noticing thinning hair or bald spots then it is a problem. Honestly your best bet, is just to go and get tests done see if they can't find the problem, it may be some thing as simple as a hormone imbalance.

You really should see a doctor. It may be something insignificant, but I seriously doubt it. It's not healthy to lose five pounds that quickly. There are lots of medical conditions that could cause you to lose weight like that even an over-active thyroid, but you really need to see a doctor to find out. And don't settle for some lame explanation like lets wait and see. Make the doctor look you in the eye and tell you he/she knows to be true whatever he/she is trying to pin as your diagnosis.

Sounds like HYPERTHYROIDISM. That is when the thyroid gland is over producing the TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). All you need to do is go to the Dr. and have them do a quick, simple blood test and then if that's it, they will put you on some medicine called Synthyroid. In about 4-6 weeks you will start to feel better and be able to keep on your weight.

It could be the sign of an illness or disease. Sudden and unwanted weight loss or gain should always be discussed with your doctor.
