To be honest, I want to try that myself... too bad, I still want to achieve something in my very own life... anyway, I believe I'm gonna die someday. The only questions are how and why....
What do you think then? Will I ever get a chance to have my life flashes before my very own eyes?

it wasnt really flashing...if you felt the feeling of almost dying you have the tendency to recall what you had done in the past and think where it will lead you.some way or another you were just thinking that your past life was not enough.you were thinking of some changes.

No. I almost drowned and no life flashing before my eyes. Though I did have an out of body experience.

I nearly drowned 3 years ago and all I felt was a blind panic fear and all I could do was struggle for my life. No flashes. Only the most terrifying and lonely moment of your life.

Technically, your example is only of (some) people who almost died. People who actually die, who knows what their last thoughts are.
And it sounds a little traumatic, like maybe something you wouldn't really want to happen to yourself, because you would replay it in your mind for years. Better to just get a video tape and tape yourself alot, and rewind it. :)

It's a survival mechanism of the brain which we call a near death experience. It is not proof of an afterlife. It is simply another brain function and its emerges in life-threatening events.

Oxygen deprivation does strange things to your brain. I have epilepsy and I promise you, your brain can hallucinate things that are so real.
