Who are the professionals that provide discpline with children?

Parents should provide that themselves. There's Nanny organizations and stuff out there that say they can help, but in reality, they can't. They're outside the situation and don't live there full time. When the "issue" is solved, they leave and it often starts again. The best professional is the parent themselves. You just have to stick by it and enforce it at all times.

parents are in better way to discipline their children, there is this saying that charity begins at home. so parents are the most professional that provide discipline for the children after that is the teacher.

In the child's life, discipline (which means TEACHING) is provided foremost by the parents, then the extended family, teachers, caregivers, etc.

Stop looking for people to teach you how to discipline, it is 100% up to the parents, You gave birth to that child and it is your responsibility to teach them wrong from right. Im so sick n tired of all these shows like "super nanny" Those kids are little brats and i have 4 boys, ages 7-3 and if any of my kids ever treated me like that, They would have a long day of spankings. Thats the problem with this world. No one believes in spanking anymore, Too much time spent trying to be your childs friend instead of the parent you became. Those are big shoes to fill...but again thats your responsibility.

Parents should provide the discipline ultimately. If they do not, no one can, because the child will think that if mommy and daddy don't disagree, then no one can.

That said, everyone else can be involved, from grandparents, to teachers and principals, the nanny, etc. Anyone with vested interest in the child should be part of his/her upbringing. I'm assuming of course by discipline you mean teaching the child to be courteous, gracious and responsible, not neccesarily physical discipline.

Some professionals that have great discipline advice would be:
Supernanny
Nanny 911
Some of Dr Phils' techniques are great
Dr Sears
The Babycenter
You definitely should watch out on this site when taking advice on discipline. Sometimes you will get uneducated advice especially when people on here recommend spanking and claim it is a good way to discipline.

If you're looking for someone to come to your home or work with you through phone and email, they are called "parent coaches" or 'behavior coaches."
