Had the same problem with my ex and the CSA were absolute crap!!! I have a great big file to prove it. When he didn't pay for months they would take out a Court Order, then he would make a payment and I would have to wait months because they would have to take out another Court Order before they could get more money and it went on and on and on!!!.

You will find that you will be owed a great deal of money at the end of all this because the CSA are completely incompetent. I did get some recompense after writing the the Independent Ombudsman who helped me get a cash payment for all the phone calls, letters etc that I had to make.

So I am afraid that you will have a long wait for everything from the CSA been that way for a long time and looks as if it won't improve.

I really think that the reason for it is the same as in all the other Government Departments, they are overworked, understaffed and overwhelmed and unfortunately there are a lot of so called loving Dads out there will pull every fiddle in the book rather than pay for the upkeep of their children.

You know it amazes me when I see cases like these and I have a friend and a sister who is going throught it also. My husband however has been given hell since day one from all the child support crap his ex throws at him. She hasn't let him see his 2 little girls in little over 2 years. They are 4 and 5 now they think another man is there daddy yet he is still stuck paying her 700 dollars a month in child support or she can have him thrown in jail it's not right. If you can't see your kids you shouldn't have to pay for them. He has tryied to get visation but the courts denyied it. Get an attorney if you can afford one that's where we always have lost we don't have the money for one yet her family provides her with one everytime so she always wins.

We have a son and a baby on the way and he is an excellent father it just has come down to she is jealous of me and now all the kids are the ones who are suffering. Good luck on trying to get your money.

Don't pin your hopes on the CSA... I have been trying for over 10 years to get regular payments and still don't even though I given them all the details they need. Then even when the do claim money off my ex it can take months for them to pay it out to me. They are a waste of space, but thankfully they wont be around much longer.

Yes, because you're not the only person with this problem. There are others in the same boat, and they filed earlier than you. Plus, all of the material you gave CSA has to be verified. They can't exactly take your word for it. Chill out, or contact an attorney.

My partners ex called the CSA in May 06 and they have already contacted us and we are paying - normally it doesn't take that long as long as the parent they are chasing and their workplace doesn't hold things up i.e. gives information freely and quickly...

To be honest unless you are totally desperate for money I wouldn't bother with the CSA......After waiting for months you will probably find out they have lost your money...The CSA is currently being folded...they are millions in debt to parents so your money will get swallowed !!! Perhaps better to have inconsistant money than non at all !!!

It takes FOREVER!

There's a whole process that they have to go through, and they have thousands of cases. Keep calling for status. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
