well since you are asking here , seems your father has a good idea how you have take Care of things in the past.Hence why he is reluctant to allow you to drive the car.
Now you are beginning to understand why you SHOULD HAVE taken better care of your things and showed more responsibility in care of those items.
Best advice is to show him you can care for things and you can maintain them and keep them save.So stop being worried about the car and start maintaining the things around you and this Will show him you have been taught the lesson of responsibility.

Have him drive with you and show him you can be responsible!! My dad wouldn't drive with me for yrs! My step mom did all the teaching. I would say get a job save your money for your own car! That would solve your problem!

A good start would probably be learning to spell wreck before you actually drive.
