The state requires you to be a member of an association if you homeschool. I looked on google and didn't find any in my area only curriculums. I have all I need as far as that is concerned. Just need to join an association to make everything "legal".

Go to this link:

If you follow option #1 you do not have to be in any association.

Option #2 does look better though --- it gives you more freedom.

This link shows organizations.
Can you join an out-of-state organization?

Wow! things sure can vary from state to state, can't they? I was going to suggest trying to google it, but that didn't work for you.
Let's see....try yahoo groups. I've found lots of homeschool groups that way. Some are e-chat groups, some are informational forums for actual physical, "let's get together" type groups.
Next I would suggest contacting your state board, or whomever made the rule that you are required to join a group. Seems to me if they require you to be a part of one, they should have a list or something.
Or try googling something much more broad. Type in "homeschool groups" and see what comes up. Usually you can find a website that lists homeschool groups for each state that way.
Last suggestion would be to contact HSLDA. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
good luck!

you will study something whether you do no longer study something you like, in case you comprehend what I mean. each and every thing in existence is a studying journey, era. i might propose you to take physics or another technology class which incorporate chemistry by your community community college. in case you are able to pass the assessment testing you will no longer could desire to take the requirements even for a complicated class, you are able to "attempt out". that's going to look greater appropriate than a cert from a homeschool application asserting you handed - fantastically a theology based application - as a great style of those are far off from sufficient and the better practise gadget is familiar with this. community college is less costly, too. I take a class each and every semester because of the fact i like to study and its less costly leisure for me. i'm in my 40's and have been in college or uni consistently my total existence, whether its purely been merely one class, because of the fact it is so less costly and available and so good on your ideas! Bonus: I also have a crapload of tiers i will in no way use yet look rather neat putting on my conceitedness wall. LOL! Edit: I did overlook to point that many courses even by your community community college at the instant are attainable on line as properly. maximum instructors are literally good approximately installation bulletin boards etc so scholars can help one yet another, to no longer point out being actually available by e mail. I took a class in Symbolic and Algebraic Computation (no longer considered one of my perfect aspects, that's why I took it!) and rather purely had to circulate into the college room thrice. as quickly as on the 1st actual day for my password and for a disc and two times for 2 very final tests. So if your wellbeing prevents you from going to class some cases a week reliably then see what's presented on line that would additionally pork up the technology part of your practise.

I goolged "south carolina homeschool" and here's one site I found:

http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/regional/SouthCarolina.htm

If you scroll down past the ads, they list several organizations, so I guess you need to decide which type of group you need to join.
