i've never heard of that, but maybe they think its the same as rubbing alcohol because both are disinfectants. I don't actually think peroxide had any alcohol in it. Some alcholics resort to household products like cleaners and mouthwash if they can't afford actual alcohol.

I occasionally get drunk and end the night with a glass of hydrogen peroxide (h/p) in de-ionised water, 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide..
and it instantly gives a euphoric feeling which lasts about 10-15 minutes.
I use h/p regularly and it is most important to only use food grade h/p not the stuff from a chemists, it's available online.BUT check out h/p usage online before using it.

According to http://www.tuberose.com/Hydrogen_Peroxide.html (which seems like complete bunk to me)
It is common knowledge that after about nine minutes without oxygen, you can kiss your brain goodbye. But the implications of constant gradual oxygen starvation in our culture somehow escapes notice, despite the tiredness, depression, irritability, poor judgment and health problems affecting so many citizens. Slight brain damage caused by long-term oxygen depletion can be observed in the average human. Add to that some mercury and nickel from dental fillings and appliances and you have chronic cognitive dysfunction. Increasing the oxygen supply to the brain and nervous system will reverse these conditions. The oxywater regimen improves alertness, reflexes, memory and intelligence, and may offer the elderly a new weapon against senility and related disorders. Alcoholics who start taking H2O2 soon lose interest in alcohol, and the desire does not come back.

I have never heard of that but I guess its possible. I would have to say that they think there is alcohol in the peroxide and they can get drunk on it. Seems pretty gross though.
