Because people are ignorant and insecure, they need some nice story. The more educated or intelligent people are the less they need religion. The world will be a much better place with more education an less supervisors believes. I feel so sorry for those that believe in such oriental fantasies....

I'm not exactly sure why. I don't subscribe to any major religion, and my life is wonderful. I have a beautiful wife and son, and a great house. I have no complaints. Perhaps "God" likes me enough to give me rewards, or perhaps I am making my own luck (more likely). I have no need to worship anyone or anything. I love the human race and I love all animals. I treat people the way I would want to be treated. It's no magic formula.

If you're concerned about being treated well by God after you die, well then it's all a crapshoot because we don't know anything about this so-called afterlife

Religion is not important . Jesus is real and does exist you should worship him because he loves you. I think the only real good advise is that you have to give him a try on your own time and your own will otherwise you will be like I was just 5 yrs ago.
A dead end to my life thinking people who believed in something they couldn't see were the craziest thing that walked on this earth until God knocked me off my feet!! He didn't do it until I said the sinners prayer and told him I just wanted to know he was real and that he loved me.

Religion gives us something to believe in that is greater than ourselves. It allows us to explain the unexplainable beauty and wonder of the earth and the human body. If not for God, how would your body know when to breath and when to have a heartbeat. How can some people be born autistic yet gifted in other areas? God gives us a love unconditional. He knows you are going to sin and he hopes you will repent and accept the sacrifice he offered for your grace but ultimately the choice is yours. What of the Giants mentioned in the bible (GEN), they do not still roam the earth but they are in the bible. What of science? Most of what we know today to be true was but theory hundreds of years ago. Will you need to wait another hundred years or so for definitive proof before you believe? I have seen his miracles in my life and I do not nor will I ever doubt his Presence.

hmmm!! well answer this look at the spritual perspective of things and then look at the scientific root of things.

HOW DID WE GET HERE? if we started from cells, atoms ect, then WHERE DID THESE COME FROM? a cell or an atom is ALIVE! THEY ARE LIVING ORGANISMS WHICH HELP CREATE US AND ALL OTHER FORMS OF LIFE...

there has to be somethign spiritual out here or there wouldnt be any hauntings! spirtits evil, or good.

but them again the things that matter iswhat people are afraid of and therefore tend to find ways to make it seem not real; by saying that god isnt real

If I live my life for my God and try my best to be the good person I believe he expects me to be and then find out one day that He doesn't exist - What have I lost? Nothing. I would have lived a good happy life. If however I live as if he doesn't exist and do whatever I wanted to and then one day find out that He does exist - What have I lost? Everything. If you can say God might NOT exist then you also have to say that He might. Faith makes that possibility good enough to believe in Him.

Good question! I wish more people would just think about what they believe in. Evoultion is just a theory, and a very uninformed one at that.People would be a lot better off ignoring the false religion of evolution and darwinism and receiving Jesus as their Savior.

There is only one religion from time began And it is Islam. People made changes and even forgot their original names e.g. Christians and Jews who were also Muslims. We all know that no one can create even one cell. The God who has created us and managing us sure knows how to communicate with us. He preserved the last divine book i.e. Quran in its original language letter by letter for last 1450 years and it is as fresh today as 1450 years ago and that is a living miracle to be witnessed all time and every place. There is no contradiction between science and Quran and as a matter of fact it was Quran who laid Muslim to found for the first time in the world; universities, hospitals, laboratories, chemistry, decimal ssytem, algebra, sstainless steel, pin hole camera, sophisicated mirrors social secutiry systems, modern mail system, astronomy, compass, geographical maps and thoiusands of othere things including watches which you are wearing (Invened by AHmad Shakir 1000 years ago in the era of Mamoon Rashid)

It seems to be a universal need to believe in something greater than ourselves and hope for Nirvana after death. All peoples have had some form of this.

Because people need hope. Hope that as bad as life is, there is something more waiting for them at the end. It gets them through the hard times and takes away the fear of death.
