Can't stomach much in the mornings- too hurried to sit down to eat most days. Usually a coffee (NAUGHTY!!!) and that's all until lunch time at 2pm. So I'm asking all you out breakfast eaters what you eat in the mornings.

Low fat, low sugar options please- I'm trying to lose weight not gain it! And I can't be stuffed fluffing around making sausages and eggs- I'm not a breakfast person in the first place! Not enough time or patience in the mornings for that.

Interesting facts:
A bowl of nutrigrain has a much sugar as a mars bar!!!
A bowl of cornflakes has a much salt as a 30g packet of chips!!!
(both of which I'd love to eat- but not a healthy option!!!)

Like you I am not a big breakfast eater. I have learned through nutrition classes that that is the worst thing to do....stops your metabolism dead in its tracks. Even knowing that it is still hard for me to make myself eat something in the mornings.

The things that I have been eating in the morning here recently are yogurt or a granola bar. I usually drink water with it. The water helps to make you feel fuller. Yogurt doesn't have too many calories (less than 100 calories) and you can pick out flavors you like. The granola bars that I get have 90 calories in them and they are suprisingly filling also.

How about some plain yogurt with some fresh fruit mixed in.......a slice of whole grain thick bread toasted with some peanut butter or a slice of cheese......make some hard boiled eggs and keep them in the fridge and have one on-the-go or make some egg salad (tuna too) and have that on a piece of toast......Grape Nuts with Soy Milk (honey if you can't stand totally unsweetened).....how about some protein powder & milk for a smoothie shake....make a healthy trail mix of walnuts, raisins, dates & dried fruit and take that with you in a "baggie".....bake some healthy muffins and have one of those. It's really important to start the morning with a healthy breakfast! :-)

When I have plenty of time I scramble some egg whites with veggies and add a fruit. With a little time I eat a bowl of oatmeal with peanut butter and raisins or a bowl of cereal (check out your healthfood store....they have good for you kind) and if I'm rushing out the door I eat a cliff bar.
Breakfast is sooo important so I'm glad your adding it!

it doesnt matter what you eat in the morning as long as you work it off. nothing wrong with a couple of healthy boiled eggs with toast and a glass of milk. All natural products since time began. forget the hype about sugar and salt as you wont have any problems with this breakfast ok

it sounds odd but try it. I usually leave at 4:30am so I don't want to eat breakfast until I'm at work. We keep our bread in the freezer, I take out a piece in the morning and wrap it up for later, bring a banana with me. I slice up the banana on the bread (whole grain) and make myself a half-sandwich of it.

go to a health food store and get some organic oats, easy if you soak them overnight, then a quick 2 mins in the microwave, add berries, yoghurt, honey, nuts. keeps you full for ages, is good for you, is tasty and easy to eat
