Kudos for just joining the gym! Yes, you can stay fit if you work out 3 times a week for an hour at a time. Make sure to get a varied workout, to work all parts of the body and yes, get that heart rate up, with the stairclimber, or the treadmill. If you want to lose weight, doctors recomment working out MORE than 3 times/per week. Most of all, if you eat healthy this will help. Remember, you are what you eat! So eat yummy healthy foods like fuites, veggies etc. (Not that you can't have occasional sweets, just don't go over board). Best of all, have fun with your workout, if its boring, mix it up!

any exercise you do is good for you. You don't have to be in a sport to be fit. eating correctly and exercise is good enough. Remember to do the things that make you do physical things like: walking to store that may be a couple blocks away instead of using car, take the stairs instead of elvator. when upsetso for walk instead of eat.you going to gym is more than alot of people do so give yourself credit, that is as long as you go to gym to participate and not sit,lol

Absolutely! Be responsible with what you eat, and focus on cardio (running, biking, stairs, etc), and beyond that just make sure your workout is well-rounded. Don't just work out legs and arms... make sure you get your chest, back, neck, shoulders, etc for overall fitness.

yes, but you need to make sure that you do some type of cardio. otherwise you might be able to bench press a Buick, but can't out run a mo-ped
