The Bible gives a lot that happened in the first century. After that you need to read church histories and find the church as it was persecuted through the ages. We find that the early christians had a few problems in that there were two distinct groups of people in the early church. The Jews who were converted and the Gentiles who were converted. They had to get rid of their upbringing. The Jews had to leave the law behind and the Gentiles had to leave paganism behind. The book of Acts shows how this was done and all came to worship together. First persecutions were by the Jews. Then the Roman empire. After Constantine united the renegade church at Rome with the state(Roman Empire) the persecutions began again in earnest. The church ,that Jesus built, hid in the valleys and mountains but were pursued all over. They had spread to all the known world but during the 'Dark Ages' were persecuted with a vengeance by the roman church. Read their histories. Except for a few peaceful years under one king or another the Church that Jesus built was persecuted unmercifully. Only in the last three hundred years has it been allowed to practice freely as the Lord intended.

Your question is a problem because Christianity was codified under the Romans, and as part of this much historical material was deliberately destroyed. There was a considerable movement in the nineteenth century to retrieve new early texts (some of which were being neglected in Greek Orthodox monasteries). This was led by Protestants (many from Germany) but to be fair modern Roman Catholicism is also aware of needs to find out more about the history of the Church. In the twentieth century there were further advances including archaeological excavations in the Holy Land and the discovery of ancient texts.
I am not an expert in the area, but I believe that after Christ's deaths there may have been a Jewish Church led by Jesus' brother James (a problematic concept for Christians). The importance of St. Paul for Christianity is that he changed the Church so that it was open to non-Jews, and much of the material in the Bible after the four Gospels relates to this.

The history of the first generation of Christians can be found by reading the book of Acts in the New Testament. It covers the first 30-35 years and tells about how the Jews turned from the Christian faith and so it went to the gentiles (non-jews) instead.
If you look in chapters 11-15 you will read about the debate over what laws to keep, etc. and what the leaders of the church decided. Includes the letter they wrote with instructions on the law.
Hope that is the information you are looking for.

Christianity began about 2000 years ago when some Jews broke with their own faith to worship Jesus as the Son of God. People from other faiths, and no faith, joined them. The new Christians followed the Old Testament of the Bible as did the Jews. Over the next few centuries the New Testament was written. It tells the stories of Jesus and his teachings and your future if you believe. Jews of course do not follow the New Testament. Oh and you are wrong about the Catholic Church, it was the first Christian Church and was formed upon Jesus death and resurection. Jesus disciple Peter was the first Pope and the Church continues today with an unbroken string of history and popes. Rebels broke away some 400 years ago and formed the Protestant (protest--get it?) Church.

Christians were first called that at Antioch, Acts 11:18. There is no such thing as a Jewish Christian. Christians are as Jesus Christ has said them to be, and they follow the guidelines that Christ has set forth in the new testament. Those Christians will be the ones that Christ will return for. The Church belongs to Christ and he purchased it with HIS BLOOD and no one has the authority over the church but Christ. Study you Bible and find out for your self what the Lord says not man. 2 Timothy 2:15

well christianity started when christ becam the known ruler or leader the messiah! and in those times YES! the catholic religion was around and so was a numerous of other religions such as paganism! but during the crusades it was then that christianity was excepted and from the christian church spun other religions such as baptist, lutherin, mormon...ECT. the same rules that apply today for christians are pretty much the same. but back in the day it was unlawful for a man and women to have sex before marriage, or for a women to speak in church and it was unlawful to not celebrate the birth and death of jesus! it was unlawful forf a women tobe alone in public, and for a women to own land or run a business.
But earlier religions were paganism, and other things like that
and catholics are christians but a different form of it, and yes sorry to forget the jewish religion is a cleberation of the way things were in jesus days they celebrate passover, they fast and they acknowledge god and things like that. so JEWS are chritians just a stricter form and more ancient and more traditional

The Catholic Church is the church established by Jesus Christ himself, with Peter as the rock upon which it was build. There has been 2000 years of Apostolic succession and it is the true church of Jesus Christ.

This is a broad question. I would suggest starting off in the book of Acts in the Bible. This records the beginnings of the Christian Church.
