Please bear with me here: If one stone is 16 pounds, that means nine and a half stone is around 152 pounds, right? If you're 5 feet 5 inches tall, you're about 25 pounds heavier than what is considered "average." Problem is other things like body frame and whether you have had children or not will affect where your "ideal" weight should be.
Eating right and exercising are really the only safe, reliable, and permanent ways to lose weight. One method that I have used to lose weight is to eat a very strict diet of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, eggs, and lowfat dairy products six days a week, but on the seventh day I eat whatever I want (but I don't stuff). On the days I'm on my strict diet, I take a tablespoonful of olive oil three times a day before meals (it's high in "good" fat and is a natural appetite suppressant) and I get at least 25 grams of fiber in my diet every day. And the only things I drink during those days are water, green tea, black pekoe tea, and skim milk -- no fruit juice or soft drinks. I also get some type of exercise in every day, even if it's just a walk around the neighborhood with my wife. As a result, I'm back down to my ideal weight and have stayed there for over a year. Might be worth a try.

Okay... Im not used to using stone, but I converted it to around 124lbs...
Assuming that you weigh 124lbs at 5'5", I'd say that that's a perfect weight for your height- you're within the healthy weight range for your height and still quite slim.
I don't think that at your weight you should be doing any dieting, you're just right the way you are- obviously exercise is an important part of life and sticking to a balanced meal plan with reasonable exercise is a good idea... just make sure that you don't take it to the extreme or anything.

Sounds absolutely perfect! If you do a BMI test you will find you are within the normal range.
Never give up exercising as this is beneficial for the health of your heart and lungs - the stuff you can't see! It doesn't really matter what you weigh on the scales either as muscle weighs more than fat, so the leanest athlete of your height could easily weigh more than you.

No - that's what I weigh and I'm shorter than you. Just exercise if you feel unhealthy. Dieting is a bad word. Call it eating healthily instead as it doesn't have such negative connotations!

That is a good weight. Your BMI is 22.1, which is well within the healthy weight range. It's up to you if you want to lose more weight, but I wouldn't go below 8 stone 8lb. HTH.

That sounds perfectly normal to me, exercise will never do any harm though and healthy eating will help maintain your weight.
