God was right there. He didn't help because it was His plan that it happen. Jesus volunteered to die a horrible death for all of us to make it possible for us to overcome sin and death to return to live with our heavenly father even though we are sinful, imperfect beings. It allows God to be both just and merciful at the same time. Without an intercession by a perfect being (Jesus), God would be bound by justice to make us face the consequences of our sins (not be able to return to live with him because no unclean thing can dwell in the presence of God). But because Jesus paid the price on our behalf, God's mercy can be applied and justice can also be paid.

Difficult concepts to explain in a short paragraph here on Y!A, but I hope that made some sense?

God is the reason that Jesus died a horrible death... in John 3: 16 it said that, "for GOD so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not persih but have everlasting life."

He was on the cross. Jesus was God the Son. His whole purpose in coming to earth was to give His life in that way to redeem mankind. His horrible death is what was suppose to happen. God did help but allowing it, so that millions of other could be spared eternal suffering but one Man's temporary suffering.

Jesus took the sin of the world and its penalty. God could not look at Jesus until He p aid the penalty. this shows us that by not believing in Jesus and accepting Him as Savior, that God, at judgment day will have to turn away from those who rejected Jesus. They will be eternally separated from God with no chance of getting back.

It was the will of God that Jesus die for the sins of the world.Jesus went to the cross willingly. There had to be a perfect sacrifice for the sins of man and the only perfect sacrifice was Jesus.

Why are you asking? God is omnipotent. He sent His son here to suffer that horrible death. One of these days He'll be sending him back to get even with all those evil Jews.

Are you serious?

It was His plan since before the foundation of the world.
If Jesus had not died for our sins, all we would have to look forward to is eternal damnation.

Jesus didn't HAVE to do it.

Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

TWELVE LEGIONS of angels poised and ready to destroy the world and save him from His pending death.
Do you realize what ONE angel can do?
2Kings 19:35 tells us one angel, in one night, killed 185,000 soldiers.
Twelve legions would have made this place just an unpleasant memory.

But He didn't call on them. Why?
Because He loves us. He paid the price that none of us could.

theyre both part of the same person Father was in Heaven and at the same time son was dying on cross THAT IS POWER
He wanted to do it so we could have a chance for eternal life...without wickedness. When he made Satan immortal he rebelled and blew it so he made humans cuz now Satan is always immortaly wicked!!

Why do you continue asking questions? Read your bible and then ask your questions. Doubt and unbelief has always been apart of our World. No one can or has ever proven the non existance of God. Really if you want to know the truth read your bible.

Because his death was the purpose of god. If he would not have you would have no salvation from your sins

Isaiah 53:4-6 (King James Version)

4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
