i recently broke up with my girlfriend. well she broke up with me. and i wanted to start a discussion about how to get over it and start fresh again. just advice and experience about your bounce back into the single life again, reclaim yourself and your life back.

1.) First off break all contact with this person. If you have a child with this person or you have to work with this person then obviously you can't do this. If this is the case then you must learn to be respectful, cordial, and steer away from personal conversation or anything like that. I think you get the picture. If you work together you may consider switching jobs.
2. Don't get back on the horse until your wounds heal or you will easlily be bucked off and get hurt again. (you know the old rebound thing)
3.) Take time for yourself, go out with friends. Take up your old hobbies and things you used to enjoy and start doing them again.
4.) Allow yourself to think about ithe break-up and that person you lost but only sometimes. This will allow you to think it through and come to terms with it. However, do not allow yourself to think about it all the time. Be in control of your mind and your thoughts and feelings but also take some time and allow yourself to feel. In other words if you have decided to go out and have fun you can always think and feel the pain later at a more convenient time...so chose to not think about it until later on after you have gone out.
5.) Allow yourself to cry...to feel...otherwise you will never get the closure you need to move on and you will bring the baggage with you. Just don't allow it to go too far and start feeling sorry for yourself and become a victom. Then when you are ready....
6.) Chose to forgive...Why forgive you may ask??

******Make a commitment to yourself to do what you have to do to feel better. Forgiveness is for you and not for anyone else.
Now you may be ready to move on.....
7.) You must make a decision to do this....
You will know when the time is right to take each of these steps. You will feel it. Take it from someone who knows...my husband cheated on me and shattered me. I went through all of these steps myself

The only advice i can give is it's extremely hard to get over a past relationship (especially when you didn't end it). It will take time and maybe more time than you want. But the only way i have ever handled it is by keeping busy, go out with friends just make sure she isn't around (if you see her it will take longer). Have fun if you work then work more. If you just sit around the house and do nothing you will do nothing but have her on your mind all the time. You need to meet new people and don't rush into anything with someone else (you don't want to use another female as a rebound) but having a female friend around to talk to could be good. You definately need to 'vent' and talk to someone as often as you like about her, this will help get it out of your system. Whatever you do Good Luck!!

to bounce back into the single life agian and start over , is really easier than u would think... make your decsion, that you are gonna start fresh and just be strong and positve and things will be fine.... the past is the past no matter how long ago it was.

the longer you were with her, the longer it can potentially take to get over her... time is what you need right now.
my advice: go out with your other friends, read some good books, take some long walks and be comfortable by yourself for a bit. once you have that, you will be healthy enough to jump back into dating.

its not healty. if u broke up, i means sth is over between u and ur boyfriend or girlfriend. so there is no need to start it again. but thsi is your life. u'll make the decision. who can know everything between u and your girlfriend? noone except you. so think twice coz it is a hard decision. i hope everything will be good.

I had a same problem before., but situation was worse., I was starting helping her., in many ways., I know her needs urgent and immediate needs., If you wanna buy something pay something i mean affection and attention was most important pay it and have lost one.
