Not necessarily. I enjoy the food a great deal (authentic, not Taco Bell), but hate the music and the dance because it is not my style of entertainment. Pinatas seem to have become universal in the US, but every pinata bashing I see also winds up with children getting hurt by either a blow from the striker or in the pileup of children for the candy...so they are fun but you can also count on tears and minor injury...not good.

You should ask yourself how old is the Mexican culture and how far back the celebrating of their festivities goes? I am sure that you'll find out that America did not exist (yet) at the time.

Amigo, Mexico is part of the new world, therefore America! Go study your history lessons and then come back and ask positive questions! Canada is part of the new world ,therefore America! The Natives of the new world are in both continents ,carribean and central America, is just that U.S.A has kept Americanos to themselfs, all others are either Latin Americans or Canadians!

this past weekend we went to a Greek Festival, now that was fun,the great food ,the dancing, the history was so interesting. But Ive also gone to bar-b-que cook offs,German.Irish,Asian and many others and also had great fun.And you cant beat an American 4th of July or Thanksgiving. So its all just a matter of your prospective no the Mexican traditions and festivals aren't better just different. All our interesting and I enjoy them all.

i just think that mexicans live life differently.....

in mexico life is not as fast paced, intense and formal like in america.....

in america life is about the size of your house, how much money you make, and what car you drive.....

in mexico life is about celebrating life and enjoying each day..... enjoying customs, traditions, music, culture, and family!!!!!!
