My son's father and I started having problems about 6 months ago, (our relationship was never really great). We got to the point where we were living together (until I could get out on my own), but were no longer in a relationship. I started talking to another guy about 3 mos ago and a month ago, (right after I moved out from living with my son's father), the other guy and I had sex once.
Anyway, my son's father and I have did a lot of talking and have decided that we really want to try and make things work. Should I tell him about the other guy even though we were broken up? I am pretty sure he was talking to another girl, too (but of course he wouldn't admit it. Would you want to know???

Absolutely do not tell him. There is no reason to. You must have the IQ of a toaster if you even have to ask the question.

By all means tell him and be up front about it. It shows him that you are really commited to the future of the relationship and that you want to make sure that there is nothing in the way of making it happen. It is always best to start with a clean slate. If he happens to get offended by it then he is not really into making the relationship the best it can be and therefore you did not find out about it until it was too late later on in the relationship.

Be honest with him. I don't think he'd like to hear it from someone else and most often secrets come back to haunt you in the worst ways. Tell him it was a one time thing, its over and you want your relationship to work. He might be angry or he might be understanding, either way be prepared but give him time to process it. It doesn't bode well for any relationship when you have secrets.

sometimes when we are apart we think we miss people but when we get back together then we see the truth or when we are apart we miss what we had but that don't mean we go back to our past As for telling him about the other guy if your not pregnant or have a VD don't say any thing but if he ask DON'T LIE a lie always has a way to come back and bite you in the butt.

If your wanting to make a fresh start at things then maybe tell him, things like that have ugly repocutions if they dont get mentioned. But if its going to make things difficult then dont. If theres absoultly no way of him finding out then keep it to your self. And you two wasn together. If there is a time when it feels right to tell him, then tell him. And please dont thow it at him in an argument. good luck hope everything workd out fopr you

I wouldn't want to tell him but it is the best thing to do. If it's a issue for him then you'll have to tell him. What if he finds out that you did this via another source?

I think it's best to own up to your mistakes........

I would not tell him. at the time you were not 2gether. There is a possible that he has been having sex with other people and he's not going to tell you so why should you?

Don't tell him. What you did when you two were apart is really none of his business. Plus it'll only cause problems.

I wouldn't tell him. You two weren't together. You don't have to tell him anything! It'll be easier to use the "Don't ask, don't tell" idea right now for BOTH of you.
