Homosexuality is NOT a disease, thus in no need to "be cured". Nor is it a 'choice' or a 'sin'.
Bigotry however is a different story altogether...

LOL, look at this picture and tell me if he is cured:

They say he's italian, and they might have just missed a bit or something, lol, you believe what you want.... ;)

But more seriously read this testimony by Michael Pattinson, who was at the highest level in Scientology, OTVIII.

He sued the Church of Scientology because it didn't cure him, and he cited that they had used Travolta as a previous success, that scientology had 'cured' his gayness.. Yes as people pointed out, it isn't a disease... Scientology is a destructive cult, and the more people know about it, the better.

But no of course religion can't cure gayness.

Well, I tend to agree, homosexuality (not "Gay" - they're rarely happy - people should use the correct words for things otherwise the wrong image is created) is not a disease but an abberation. Since it's followers tend to extinction it's clearly not a survival trait. Like religion, they spend much of their time trying to "convert" others to maintain a steady supply of homosexuals.
Religion does not (at least, should not, according to Bible and koran) tolerate such practices. God seems to have no problem with them - just blast two cities into oblivion, turning the occasional person into an excellent condiment. I believe that in both Judaism and Islam, the prescribed penalty is stoning.
Scientology of course wouldn't help as it in itself needs curing. After all, it's not a religion, just a profit making scam.
Homosexuality is more a sign of a weak and effeminate mind which is the province of the psychologist.

Haha good one!

To say you can "cure" homosexuality is to say it's an illness, and it simply is NOT. I'd like to know if any of these people say that it's a choice have any gay friends or relatives, and if so, do you just throw the blinders up to them and their life experience? Can any person just up and decide who they can and can't fall in love with? Totally at will? Can you change the physiological triggers of sexual attraction?

The answer is no. "Gayness" -- as you call it -- is not a physical disease or a psychopathology or any other disorder, so it cannot be 'cured'. It is simply the way some people are, and the implication that there is something wrong with them that can be cured is both disturbing and incorrect.

They say they can and they try. I did not know travolta had homsexual tendencies. I think if he does he should not have to fight them. He should be who he is. Tom should too for that matter. I think Tom is unhappy acting straight he needs to be alone or with men. He hurts women too much. How many relationships will it take for him to figure this out?

No, a person is born gay - religion can be acquired but will not change the basic physical make up of a person. Since when has being gay been considered as an "affliction" ????

No. Gayness is NOT a choice any more than your' height or hair colour at birth. What religion can do is inspire one to chastity.

If homosexuality were a disease, a discussion about a "cure" would be appropriate. Since it's not, and since religion can't "cure" anything, anyway, this whole question is moot.
