If she wants to do it, give it a try.

Here, I think at age 4 she'd be eligible for either the "micro soccer" program OR the 4 & 5 yo division at our local YMCA. "Micro" would be a good way to get her started. It's all about skills and is for younger kids, no games or anything.

My son's been in YMCA soccer since he was 5 yo (now 7.5 yo). It's nice because the focus is on learning skills and good sportsmanship, not on winning. My 3.5 yo started playing in the "micro" division this past spring.

4 is fine for soccer... some kids start at 3.. It is not like regular soccer that older kids play.. it is a lot less technical and more just learning to kick the ball into the net.. some of these younger soccer teams don't even have goalies. If she is showing interest in something like that I would definitely let her play.

If she wants to play, I say go for it. My son is 6 now and he is in his 3rd year of soccer. He loved it then and still does. Keep her involved in as many things as possible, if she's up to it.

We have to let our children do what they love! I think it is awesome that she wants to be physical instead of in front of the tv. My little girl loves to play outside and is always on the go. I definitely don't think that she is still too young. Whats the worst that can happen?

young sports is a great way to start developing her social skills. If you put her in a team that has other kids her age then I think it would be a great idea.

You should let her play. They have leagues just for her age. It will help give her better social skills.

i really wouldn't worry kids pass on all sorts some kids get sick others don't, really the only reason you would need to pass any info on about your little girl being ill would be if she had something like meningitis
