I would like to know how you base your oppinion before I could argue it. Muhammed was a mad man who based his belief on twisting of biblical scripture.

Explanation:

Abraham was a hebrew. He had two sons Issac and Ishmael. Issac was the promised son given to him and his wife Sarah by God. Ishmael was a illigitimate son of Hagar, an servant, that abraham inpreganated because he lost his faith that God would provide a son him and Sarah at their old age. Issac was the promised son and therfore the heir of the covenant of god. Ishmael was the oldest but was banished because of his violent hatred for his brother. The bible says:

Genesis 16:12 (King James Version)
12And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

in regards to ishmael....ismael is the basis of islam. Muhammed was the descendant of the "wild man" and still every man's hand is against him

Ishmael was NOT the illegitimate son of Abraham. It was permissible for a man to have more than one wife, or concubines, and none of his children were illegitimate.

What about Jacob and his two wives? He married one, which was not the one he thought he was marrying. So, he also married the other. So, do you consider many of Jacob's children to be illegitimate? These made up the 12 tribes of Israel.

To the question, I have the greatest respect for Islam. I think it makes alot more sense than Christianity does. G-d is One. Are you also questioning Christianity's viewpoint on there being a G-d? Isn't your question the same---is there a G-d?

If you think that Mohammed being wrong equals to there not being a God, then you must believe in Mohammed for him to have such God-anulling powers. Surely then if you believe in Mohammed you must believe in God?
Just believe in what you think is the truth. I might not understand everything my religion teaches, but becuase I don't have any means of know any better I accept it. But that in turn was a decision i made for myself.
