I've always wanted to go to New York, and it's not now, til i've started earning some money, that I can afford to.

I don't know very much about the city though? What are good airlines to travel with? Where would I want to stay if I want to be in the middle of the tourist-y bit? I don't want to be put up somewhere that's miles out of town on the outskirts or in a dangerous bit.

The brochure i've got has lots of hotels in Manhattan. Is that a good bit? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Manhatten is a nice place where you can find a mini world of people from all the countries. Keep a credit/debit card in your pocket safely. Don't carry cash more than 200 bucks in 1, 5 & 10
for simple expenses. Look at the fast food counter and don't enter in a good resturant having colourful girls and boy waiters anxiously waiting for your great arrival. Take care, on completing yyour travels return to your place safely.

If you are traveling alone, I would definitely stay at a bigger name hotel in downtown Manhattan - its worth the money. I stayed with a girlfriend in lower Manhattan at a small (safe) hotel paid like $80 a nite but we could hear all the sex going on the other sides of the wall ! haha.

I would try using priceline and booking it all together (airfare and hotel) and if it were up to me, I'd go for Thanksgiving so I could go to the Macys Day Parade..........in fact, great idea. I think i'll look into that now !

hi! So, is the $3,000 blanketed for the hotel? lodges are very high priced right here. around $2 hundred for the main inexpensive rooms in long island. And why might you come for 2 weeks? I mean, i'm chuffed that folk love my massive city, yet 2 weeks is somewhat lots. a week is greater desirable than sufficient! it rather is the costliest city contained in the U. S. to stay in (foodstuff, lodges, residences, genuine sources... each and every thing is costly). Many Europeans come for an prolonged weekend, you're able to do the comparable. perchance a 5-time out! that could be the perfect... it would supply you some days of sightseeing, then you definitely can relish the mind-blowing delicacies and nightlife. If I have been you, i might e book the hotel first, then decide how lots it incredibly is. After that, i might shop $a million,000 purely for the foodstuff and drinks. My husband and that i paintings lots, so we eat out incredibly many times... We actually spend $2,000 a month in eating places right here in NYC. besides the indisputable fact that, in case you (unlike us) prefer to eat in eating places like McDonalds, you should be able to return and shop a small eating place funds. have exciting!

Stay in Manhattan. It will be expensive, but worth it. Try a reputable chain. Make sure you buy tickets in advance for shows if you want to see them.
