If you rethink prayer and change it from something that leans toward recitition and/or begging for something you want...it won't be refrain.

Here is how we can use prayer and thankfulness to change our worlds.

1. We witness all events, those of peace and those that we see as the absence of peace, as possibilities without judgment of right, wrong, bad or good.

2. We release our judgment of the situation by Blessing those conditions that have caused us pain. The Blessing does not condone or consent to the event or condition. Rather, it acknowledges that the event is part of the single source of all that is.

3. By feeling the feelings of our prayer already answered, we demonstrate the ancient quantum principle stating that the conditions of peace within our bodies are mirrored in the world beyond our bodies.

4. We acknowledge the power of our prayer and know (feel) that the focus of our prayer has already come to pass.

5. Our prayer now consists of:

a. acknowledging the peace already is present in our world by living from the knowledge that such changes have occurred.

b. empowering our prayer by giving thanks for the opportunity to choose peace over suffering.

Prayers can help, whether you are religious or not. .. Lemme explain...

If you are not religious but you are in such a predicament * where you are seeking help from anywhere, and you begin to pray.. It won't work... WHY because you are really not expecting it to help you have absolutely no faith, so why would you thinkone would have faith in ones self?

If you are religious then you see prayer as a positive oout look on a situation in your life, and thats when you will feel like your prayers have helped because you have a positive feeling !!

I believe when I pray, I am heard. It helps bring peace within our own lives.

The same exact prayers said daily tends to get old, and the meaning can be lost.

Prayer is the elevation of the mind and heart to God:
+ In praise of his glory
+ In petition for some desired good
+ In thanksgiving for a good received
+ In intercession for others before God

Through prayer the Christian experiences a communion with God through Christ in the Church.

"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." (St. Thérèse of Lisieux)

"Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." (St. John Damascene)

But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or "out of the depths" of a humble and contrite heart? (Ps 130:1)

He who humbles himself will be exalted; humility is the foundation of prayer. Only when we humbly acknowledge that "we do not know how to pray as we ought," are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer. "Man is a beggar before God."

With love in Christ.

all prayers are initially just words.... how those words speak to us when we pray can make a difference..also which words are chosen can mae a difference as well..whether it is scripture or our own words, if they mean something to us, then the words can have an impact on our faith.
