I've heard that running or jogging on hard surfaces, like concrete sidewalks or treadmills, can be detrimental to your joints. How true is this? If I do this for several years am I gonna get incurable arthritis?

I think it is bad and the best thing to do is get the best shoes available to protect your joints.
