I am kinda of going through this same scenario. Except I left him because he hit me for finding out through his texts about his dirty deeds. The first thing that came to my mind was revenge. Then, how sweet Karma is and how miserable his life is going to be thru that.
I think honestly, if he was messing with someone else while he could have been with you, than you are his comfort zone. If you have been together for a long time, then you know thats an easy place to stay. Settling.
Obviously, he is either just a dirty man whore who cannot control his hormones or it was not meant to be. Probebly a bit of both. Its hard to say no. I know this, but its for the best and someone who wants you and only you is right around the corner.
Let him wallow in his own misery, he made the bed now make him lye in it.

You have very little self esteem to not know to tell him off. Work on you before you start another relationship, or you will continue to be treated poorly.
