I have stayed for some days without an antivirus. What a stupid I was.One day, I obesrved that I wasn`t the administrator of my PC , when I tryed to re-enalble the virus protection from an anti-virus(I installed). I had a message : that I wasn`t the administrator of my PC. Lolll. I have formated my C: drive , and reinstalled windows. But for what? For nothing. :( I installed again the Panda antivirus (and updated) and I maked a scan and there sayed that aren`t viruses. But I clicked on Vulnerabitys and sayed that I have .... a lot ! I count them and there were ~ 30 . Like Zotob A , B , C , D , etc. , Ctreatxt or somethin` like that , Oscar , etc. And I had 5 hacking tools , 4 were deleted automatically and 1 I delett by myself. I was afraid to not have backdoors but I think I have,I don`t know. I have reformated just C: !! I reinstalled Windows Media Center XP , (like sp 2,the same thing almost) and know also installed BitDefender 9 pro I think , I update it etc. Now he said after a full scan that I have Trojans and stuff in D: !!! Where I didn`t expected. In some files like : "intcodec" (a codec) , "antispam" , other. I cannot delet them. What shall I do? I should formatate the D: ? :( Also there I have files that I need but I will not have now any wishes , I just want my computer clean. In past I observed that I received Invalid atack from IP etc. 215.36 ..... etc. but my PC blocked it. What can I do know to rid from all this stuff? And I formated the C: and reinstalled windows 2 or 3 times these 2 days and observed that in C:\Documents and Settings\User(Me)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files I cannot delet some files and seems that there are still infected stuff I think. Are those comeing from D: ? I have scanned know and look an error:
C:\DOCUME~!\USER(ME)~1\LOCALS~!\Temp|Wer0a8e.dir00\bdss.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~!\USER(ME)~1\LOCALS~!\Temp|Wer0a8e.dir00\accompat.mdmp I`m confused and scared. And I cannot update my PC , even if I update patches for this vulnerabitys,it won`t apply, because you know. But what can I do? From net what could I download? Please tell me a link or give me suggestions!! I want all this nightmare to end. I cannot delet all this stuff. Should I what? Please tell me. Thank you all for according your time to me.Please help me.

First off, it's really important for any PC user, even home users, to have a decent Anti-Virus/Firewall setup. Even someone who just uses the internet for casual purposes can be attacked maliciously.

A very good free anti-virus program (and the one I use) is called AntiVir ( http://www.free-av.com/ ). It's reguarly updated, and if you wish you can upgrade it for a nominal fee. Certainly cheaper and less resource eating as some brand-name Anti Virus programs.

Secondly a Spyware program. Spyware can creep onto your computer from many areas, usually from pop-ups or chain emails. They don't appear outright, but they do drain your system resources, can some particularly nasty ones can track personal details whilst you browse. The one I would recommend is Ad-Aware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ ). Again it's regularly updated like AntiVir, and is entirely free. I would recommend having AntiVir running in the background to block viruses/trojan, and scan with Ad-Aware if you've been browsing for a while. Scan your computer weekly for viruses as well.

For a firewall, if you're using XP, the built-in Firewall will suffice. Unless you're running a company (which I doubt you are reading your question), Windows Firewall will keep you safe from would-be attackers. There are some specialist programs out there you can use, but really for what you'll need there's no reason to stress over attempting to get through the quagmire of settings available to you.

Don't worry about the files in Temporary Internet Files. They get deleted periodically by your computer as you browse. To be honest you're always going have some backdoor in your computer, and someone will be tracking what you're doing. But for the most part you needn't worry about such things, since many of these actions are beign to your computer and won't do it long term harm. However, be sure to download the programs I recommended, do a full scan of your computer, and do periodical scans every week or so (daily with Ad-Aware). Hopefully you won't have to resort to the drastic measure of a hard-drive format for some time.

Its completely fine to delete the contents in the temporary internet folder.
The programs I use for screwy systems are downloaded from download.com

Antivirus - AVG Free Edition - can find it with google search
Spyware - Adaware SE
I use the Windows Firewall
MicroTrend's Housecall - Its a free online ran scan that is for added protection and to see if your pc is secure. Checks for virus/spyware and windows security issues.

May not have to reformat but sometimes its the easiest way to deal with it. Feel free to send me a message with any questions.

After you install the programs update them. Then restart the computer and hit F8 to load the advanced startup screen. Choose boot in safe mode and run the scans and reboot and go into Windows and run a scan again.

To get rid of viruses and hackers in your PC, you need some Anti-Virus Software. The best brand of Anti-Virus Software is McAfee. Purchase the latest version of McAfee Software, and your PC will safe from all those bothersome viruses and hackers.

You will need to re-format your hard drive and reload your system again.

It sounds like you have a high-speed internet access without a router box installed. Before you connect your computer to the internet again after re-formating, buy a router box to put between your computer and the internet. I have one and have never had a problem.
