with someone who will work with me and start to build the same goals with me not someone who works against me. I'm a nice girl and am not ugly so why is it so hard to find a guy who wants the same thing. My ex says he loves me and wants to be with me but it's been a year and won't progress our relationship, is this too much to ask?

You can't learn to love a person who's not close to you. Do you still love your EX? Why did you break up? Should you give him another chance? These are the questions you should be asking yourself! If you do then give him a chance. If you don't be patient! After all Love don't rush!

No. In a relationship, it works both ways. If one party won't budge, the other won't go far on his/her own either. aNd, find a guy that loves you as much as you love him if not more.

relationships are about love, respect and compromise... you sound like you aren't willing to do any of those... you are better off being single...
