No. We believers see non-believers as future believers.

No, I believe most see them as unenlightened or rejecting religion as an act of rebellion against their ancestors or society. In my humble opinion, this board has taught me that many nonbelievers seem to think they are smarter than believers. (While believers believe they are more enlightened in areas not reached strictly by the rational mind.) The nonbelievers spend a lot of time trying to demonstrate their intelligence by often posting questions that belittle other's beliefs. In reality, it comes across that the nonbeliever has issues and wants believers to abandon what makes them happy since faith and feelings are not always rationally comprehensible. (Likewise some believers pick a concept of religion and try to bash others with that concept.)
If either was truly happy with their choices in life--would they waste precious time posting questions seeming to pick and provoke? I think they would ask earnest questions trying to prod and understand the other's thought processes? I likewise believe they would only choose to answer a foolish post with intelligent refined answers rather the flip & thoughtless answers often seen.
From what I have read, the intelligence range seems to be about the same in both the believers and nonbeliever groups on this board. I do not see one being superior to the other, but I see a lot of misconceptions from both sides.

I am not sure about the heading towards the cliff part but walking in the dark. Yes!
I spent most of my life as a non-Christian and the last 10 as a Christian. I am not into all the legalism of religion but I have more joy and contentment in my life even during the storms and I truly want that for other people.

depends upon the Belief System of the Believers as many Believers even think others in the Christian Belief System who have a different Branch of the Christian Belief System are also doomed. there are some who believe " THE DEITY is to big to be in just one place " which makes more sense. there are many ways to get to one's destination as one can ride a bike, walk, motorcycle, train, bus, horse, etc. but the main thing is to arrive at the destination not how you get there.

Sorry, you've got to be more specific. There are many different religions, and most people from one religion will view another person as being a non-believer because they don't share the same views.

This is how I see believers in God:
"Desperate, tenacious clinging like a grain of sand,
Watching it's foundation wash away.
Drunk with the assertions they know they can't defend.
Confident that they might live again."
from "Live Again (The Fall of Man)" by Bad Religion.

AS A CATHOLIC, YES WE DO SEE THEM AS WALKING IN THE DARK AND MAYBE HEADING TOWARDS THE EDGE OF A CLIFF BUT ALSO HOPE IS ALSO SEEN IN THEM. GOD IS A GOD OF MERCY AND LOVE. HE CALLS UPON ALL OF US IN MANY WAYS AND PERIODS OF OUR LIFE. WE EACH ARE ARE GIVEN THE FREE WILL TO LISTEN TO THAT VOICE OR IGNORE IT AND DO AS WE PLEASE. I USED TO BE THAT PERSON ON THE EDGE OF THAT CLIFF BUT THANKS BE TO GOD HE LOOKED DOWN UPON MY EMPTY SOUL WITH PROFOUND MERCY AND COMPASSION, EVEN THOUGH I HAD REJECTED HIS LOVE A NUMERAL OF TIMES AND WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM. MY LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME SINCE THEN, FIERINESS AND EMPTINESS NO LONGER OWNS A PLACE WITHIN ME.

As believer, I see them as one that would make God very happy. For they have once lost in the wilderness of their intellect. And was finding their way back after realizing they need him still after all.

The error in your question is that you are making a blanket statement "non-believers".
Anyone who hasn't come to the knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus is in trouble
