If it doesn't bother you its no problem. The myth about breaking a mirror causing you seven years bad luck, comes not from the bad luck, but from the fact that at that time it would have taken the average family seven years to put away enough savings to buy a new one.

I don't think soo... because technically a Mosaic is made up of pieces of broken glass and mirrors and that's OK!
As long as what ever you decide to do with the glass looks nice and intersting.... I don't think evil spirt will come for you :)
I brake up old mirrors and reuse them all time in Mosaics and nothing bad has every happen to me!!
Just becare- it's very easy to cut yourself.

If you don't mind how it looks, it's not a problem.
The old saying about bad luck from breaking a mirror comes from the middle ages when it was VERY expensive to make them.

Probably not . . . it's just the act of cracking or breaking a mirror that (according to superstition) is supposed to bring bad luck.

yeah, sometimes it is known to give inferiority complex to certain mirrors.Try to see it from its viewpoint. It thought of having a good owner, and it was shattered when you simply cracked it.Dashed bad for the mirror.Of course, you cannot blame it if it always scowls at you.Try to make it feel at home. What has happened has happened forgive and forget.
