i had a miscarriage in april of 2004 at 10 weeks and i got pregnant again in november 2004 and now i have a beautiful 1 year old little girl well acutally i have two of them. one was born before i had a miscarriage. anyways it is recommended that you wait 3 months to try to conceive again to let your body heal and in which case you will have a less chance of another miscarriage if your body has fully recuperated. there is always a 15 percent chance with every pregnancy to miscarry though. your best bet is to just take good care of yourself. make sure you are still taking your prenatal vitamins even before you get pregnant and try not to get too stressed. stress is one cause for a miscarriage. good luck and i hope that you will be blessed with a precious little baby of your own.

Believe it or not you can get pregnant really quick after a D&C due to the fact your insides are totally cleaned out. I am sorry for your loss and I wish I could tell you this won't happen again but I just cant because there are so many reasons for a miscarriage and if you don't know why then it's hard to say but more then likely you will be fine to try for another child.. I would start by taking a Folic acid, a B vitamin helps prevent birth defects of the brain and spinal cord when taken very early in pregnancy and could not hurt to take before you get pregnant. It is available in most multivitamins, as a folic acid-only supplement and in some foods. Fortified breakfast cereals such as Total and Product 19
Lentils
Asparagus
Spinach
Black beans
Peanuts (only if you do not have a peanut allergy)
Orange juice (from concentrate is best)
Enriched breads and pasta
Romaine lettuce
Broccoli

Folic acid works, but it only works if taken before and during the first few weeks of pregnancy, when the neural tube is developing into the brain and spinal cord. When the neural tube does not close properly, a baby is born with a very serious birth defect called a neural tube defect (NTD). About 3,000 pregnancies are affected by NTDs each year in the United States. If all women took adequate folic acid before conception and during pregnancy, up to 70 percent of NTDs could be prevented.
Folic acid has no known toxic level. If you ate a bowl of fully fortified cereal (400 micrograms), took a folic acid supplement (400 micrograms), and ate fortified foods and foods rich in folate, you would not get too much folic acid. Even in very high amounts, folic acid is non-toxic. Still, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that women consume no more than 1,000 micrograms of synthetic folic acid a day. Once you are pergnant try your best just to take it easy the first few months and stay off your feet. Good luck and best wishes..

I had a miscarriage in march of 2002 and was pregnant again by july 2002 but unfortunatly for me i had another miscarriage and I wish I knew what to do to prevent it. In my case my husband was having an affair and neither pregnancy was planned. I think mine were due to stress.

you can fall pregnant almost straight away usually at least two to four weeks( the usual time your body ovulates). miscarriage is quite common and 1 in 5 women have have one that's not to say that you wont go on to have a fabulously healthy pregnancy and beautiful baby.

Actually your chances are very high, not to sound gross, but after you have something like that done your body is wide open.Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to prevent from having misscariages.I know your pain I am so sorry.I have had three misscariages and one tubal and had to get my right tube removed 10 weeks ago.But in good time Ms.Lady in good time!

Just as soon as the bleeding stops from the D&C, it would be possible to get pregnant again. Just because you miscarried one time, doesn't mean it will ever happen again. Changes are minimal of losing another. Don't worry and for heavens sake, don't get stressed out about this..........
