I'm a 19 year old female and I seriously think there's gotta be something wrong with me. For unknown reasons I've always been attracted to older men and by "older" I don't mean just 2 or 3 years I'm talking wayy wayyyy older like 10 years or more. The problem is they just keep getting older! When I was 13 I had a crush on this 28 year old guy. Then when I was around 15-17 I usually went for 30 something guys and now that I'm 19 I'm attracted to a 45 year old guy. My friends think it's gross but I find him sexy. What's wrong with me?
It's not that I'm not attracted to men my age, I mean I am sometimes but when it comes to dating I just don't want to date them. Why am I like this? I know that it's not about me trying to find a father figure because I have a great relationship with my father. Is this normal? Or am I a sick person?

It sounds like you have the same thing I had with older guys. I've dated guys anywhere from 10 - 20 years my senior. I was never really attracted to any guy my own age. I realized it wasn't the age I was attracted to but the maturity that usually comes with the age. Most older guys are also more "established" than younger guys who are trying to find themselves. Just realize that not older guys have completely grown up and can be even more immature than guys your own age. I realized this when I totally got played by a guy 15 years older than me and never saw it coming. The older players know how to play so well that there are no signs and they're so convincing. They usually don't care how much time it takes to get what they want.
Just keep in mind that you may very well meet someone your age who fulfills what you seek in older guys (I did!). Don't completely dismiss the younger guys. Just dismiss the guys who aren't what you're looking for, but not because of age.

I dont think its sick at all! I am also attracted to older men. Guys our age are just so childish (19 also). I like mature guys, that have a sense of responsibility. The guy I like is 42, and he is just awsome! He's got the looks, and intelligence. We havent been dating or anything (yet), but we have been talking and getting to know each other.

Try to decide what it is about these men that you're attracted to...
Is it Richard Gere or someone famous that you're attracted to? Is it a mature personality? Grey hair? Weathered features?
Perhaps age has nothing to do with it, and just happens to be a side effect of whatever your fancy is.

It's normal for some people. It's just a preference like any other preference - some women like tall guys, or younger guys, or the executive 'type', etc... Doesn't matter what your friends think. You head just might be more mature than you're biological age.

You're not a sick person. At different stages in our lives we are attracted to different things, different types of people, different food. As you grow older you will notice that what you liked today has changed. Don't worry about it.

It's all in what you like. And I am the same way. Older men have it together. No games they are straight forward. They seem to know more about women and how they tick.
