Hungarian Lacso, you will need
4-5 large potatoes
4-5 hard boiled eggs
half a large garlic sausage, polish or Hungarian ideally
half a pint of double cream
paprika
Boil the eggs and allow them to cool naturally
Peel and slice the potatoes, boil them until they are cooked but still firm, drain them.
Shell and slice the eggs horizontally
peel and slice the sausage
Place the potato slices in an ovenproof dish, then the sausage slices, then the eggs, continue to layer like this until all of your sliced ingredients are used up
add the cream over the top of the entire mixture
sprinkle with paprika, up to a teaspoon according to your taste.
cover the dish with foil and put it into a pre heated oven (180 degrees) cook it for 30 minutes then remove the foil and cook for a further 10 minutes. Leave it to stand for 5 minutes then serve with boiled or steamed leafy green vegetables and crusty bread. The recipe will easily feed 4-6 people.

Steak Sandwich
1 large strip, round, or shell sirloin steak, weighing between 12 ounces and 1 pound
1/2 t. coarsely ground black pepper
Salt to taste
2-3 T. oil
2 T. chopped onion
4 oz. crimini mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
1/2 t. thyme
1 loaf French or Italian bread, or 1 Vienna loaf
3-4 T. prepared mustard
Trim any excess fat from the steak. Sprinkle both sides with pepper and salt, then brush with a tablespoon of the oil. Heat a cast-iron or nonstick pan and sear the steak about 2 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan. Cook the onion for 2 minutes in the remaining oil, then add the chopped mushrooms, sprinkling them with the thyme and a little salt. Cook, stirring, until they have softened. If the mixture dries out, add a tablespoon or so of water.
Cut a large piece of bread about 1 inch longer than the steak. (If you're using a Vienna loaf, you may not need to cut it at all.) Slice it lengthwise through the middle, leaving an uncut edge as a hinge. Spread both cut sides of the bread liberally with mustard. Now place the steak on the bottom half and scatter the mushroom mixture on top. Fold the top half of the bread down. Wrap the sandwich in two layers of plastic wrap. Take a long piece of string and tie the sandwich up tightly as if it were a parcel, knotting the string in several places. Put the sandwich on a plate and place another plate on top of it. Now weight it down with either cans of food or a bowl filled with water. Leave it for 8 hours or overnight in the refrigerator or other cold place. When you rescue it from the weights, it will be firm and flat. For serving, unwrap it and slice it on the diagonal so you have several strips, each about 3/4 to 1 inch wide. Arrange these on a platter with a bowl of relish or chutney to accompany them.

It's probably not unique but i am addicted to lasagna as someone has previously put.
But i do not like mince (bad experience as a kid with chewy lumpy mince yeauch) So i use corned beef instead.
It is great put your tomatoe sauce in pan mushrooms, peppers and onions then add corned beef and simmer until the corned beef breaks up then layer with pasta sheets and top with cheese sauce and grated cheese and cook in oven for 30 mins roughly.
Fantasic and tastes great.
You can add any veg or any herbs and spices.
Might have it myself now!!! yum yum.

Lamb stew
Take some lamb chops and remove the bones, put the bones to one side.
Coat the lamb in mint sauce and seal in a hot pan.
Put a nice red wine in a pot and add the bones, some mint sauce and a lamb stock cube. (or if you can find it buy a mint and red wine sauce) boil.
Once the lamb is sealed place in an oven proof dish along with any vegetables you want to add.
Pour the wine mixture over the lamb - removing the bones.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 190 for an hour

1 pound of ground beef (chuck or round) your choice.Drained.
1 can campbells cream of mushroom soup.
1 large bar of philly cream cheese, 8 oz I think.
1 can sweet corn (drained)
1small onion diced (about 1 cup) blanched
1 tablespoon of garlic powder, You cn not use any at all (I like garlic)
salt to taste
1 teaspoon black pepper.
1 can of biscuits
in mixing bowl mix everything except ground beef. microwave untill cream cheese is softened mixture will be thick.
at this point add some water or milk (I use milk) slowly untill it is
thinned down (you don't want it to be runny ) just thin it to where it will pour out of the mixing bowl.
add ground beef to mixture, pour into baking pan (a 9 x 9 inch pan should work) I usually double the recepie so I use a 13x9 inch pan
bake at 350 on bottom rack untill bubbly all over try not to bake it too long or it will get too thick, if it does, add water or milk to thin it back down it should be thick but not runny.
bake buscuits seperately
serve over buscuits

mmmmmm. Pork fillet sliced into about 1" thick rounds & grilled, place on a bed of cinnimon mashed potatoe (gently on the cinnimon, about 1 teaspoon per two large servings) and serve with fresh veg of your liking, arrange the plate nicely so the presentation is pretty too and make a nice red wine gravy to go with it "gorgeous"
