Here is a sample: all of the same video different formats and the space required without degrading the video quality

MPEG-1 • 315.60 MB
MPEG-2 • 302.00 MB
MPEG-4 • 34.30 MB

mpeg is usually the most economical, but there are AVI formats that require a special codec (encode - decode) driver / software such as DIVx which are even better - mostly used for ripping DVD's or saving recorded TV shows in the best possible format.

Try storing it in 3gp format its the smaallest u can have even you can store it on ur mobile...

that depends on the resoulution/quality of your videos.. now, the most used video extension is .wmv

but i hear DivX (.avi) is popular and the quality is great.. you might want to check it out..

you also might want to check (.mp4)...
