What is medical terminology for when you are searching for an object and can't find it even though it's in

right in front of you. But your brain doesn't rgister it

You might be thinking of some sort of visual agnosia. It can occur after brain damage and hinder the brain from recognizing an object based on it's physical characteristics (but if you touch the same object it will be recognized immediately).
