This is an awkward size for her to be at. Some stores, especially online, carry girls sizes 16. Some even go to a 20. If you can't find stores that carry those sizes, try a Juniors. Depending on her age though, you might not want her to dress in that style of clothing. Next you would try a Misses small. I recommend that you take her with you. Each store, the sizes vary. What fits at one, won't fit at another. Example, I can buy just about anything at JCPenney in 18 and it's perfect, but at Wal-Mart or Sears, I have to try it on and only half the time it actually fits. Sizes and proportions aren't like they used to be and it's very hard finding clothes to fit an adult female, much less a child.
Good luck!!

I wish I had a catalogue here so I could get real specific for ya, but I don't. Any sales clerk worth her weight in pay can lead you in the right direction especially if you go to the children's department and ask. If you had a chest measurement of your daughter, that would be the biggest help. I would try the Junior department if your daughter is growing typical. And some stores will let you take clothes out just for the sizing problem. Another thing you can do is pick up a couple tops in the next 2 sizes up and pay in cash. When you see the one that fits her, take the other back for a full refund.
Of course..this would so much easier if she could be with you, so you might want to wait til she is out of school and you can go play the sizing game!

My daughter is going through the same thing. Some 14/16 fit her but some don't. Ladies Small or Juniors small/medium is the next option.

You cant go by sizes these days as a size 12 in one shop of a size 16 in the next. Best thing to do is take your daughter with you and let her try on the clothes .Or measure her waist, hips and chest and refer the measurements to the label on the clothes.

Best to take her with you and have her try on the clothes I've found that a size 14/16 in one style fits my daughter but another she is a size 7 in adults. Best places I've found are sears, Jcpennys, and fashion bug, also debs at the mall.
