My friend complains of false alarm in the night from the electronic security system installed in her small business. There is no apparent reason like rats/pests etc... why does this happen.. this is a wireless PIR/motion detector (315MHZ)

can police wireless sets in vicinity trip alarm, can cordless phones trip alarm, can tv remote trip it... and so on...

Assuming we're talking about the same sensor acting up (if it's a different sensor acting up each time, you're going to have to do some bloodhound work to isolate your issue):

If the sensor is located near a HVAC vent, a sudden change in temperature or wind velocity could trigger it. Or it just might be an overly sensitive sensor, esp if it's one pointing out a window (which it shouldn't be anyway. That's where someone just walking past the window could trip the sensor).
