San Francisco - love the diversity, the weather, the mountains, the water, the shopping, the architecture, the culture(s), the art, the food, the parks. I love everything about that city, and I wish I could live there, but it just doesn't look like it will ever be feasible. Sigh. Makes me sad that I don't live there.

My personal recipe for the ideal place to live would be:
Ancient culture+ warm climate+ sea+ relaxed lifestyle= Italian Mediterranean :)
Why not Greek? What bedtime story did your parents tell you as a child? Red riding hood? How about Argonauts or Charon? Made me develop an allergy to everything Greek :) (no offense, Greeks!)
