call in, sound panicked and crying, tell them you misplaced your keys and can't leave the house till you find them. Then arrive after the interview. Next time set up an interview first thing in the morning or last thing in the day, or for evening hours.
Doesn't your company allow you a floating holiday?
Believe me, they will "know" you're on a job interview.

A friend of mine called in because a water line broke in her basement and her entire basement (which was a nice finished basement) was completely flooded and she had to get everything cleaned up and wait for a repair guy.
You can always take a grandparent to a doctor's appointment. Someone else was going to, but something came up at the last minute...
Or you could call off monday and tuesday, and claim to be sick. everyone deserves a long weekend. and you do sound sick.

Whatever excuse you tell them, be careful. The excuse you use might come back to haunt you. Happened to me a few times. Can you just ask for the day off?
