Freedom. Prosperity.
We are free to love or hate anything including the government and our leaders. We are free to say it, and write it, without fear of retribution. We are free to cross any borders within our nation without fear of checkpoints or hassles. We can move or stay wherever we want. We can quit our jobs or keep them, or go out and start our own businesses. These may not sound like much, but look around the world and you will quickly see that these freedoms should not be taken lightly.
As for prosperity, we are not all rich by our standards, but owning a home and a car are not considered uncommon. Anyone who wants it can achieve a college education. There are no starving villages. We are incredibly rich when compared to the world population.
Yes we are free and prosperous. Those are pretty GREAT things!
Another thing that is great about Americans is that we are a compassionate people. We care about those in distress and are willing to help. I know the rest of the world likes to think we don't, but there is no question that the USA sends more help, more food, more medicine, more money to help than ANY other country in the world PERIOD. The French love to hate us, but when France was in trouble, we were there. The graves at Normandy prove it. I don't recall any mass graves of French soldiers who died in our defense anywhere. I don't hate the French, I'm just using them as an example. The same could be said of the British and many other countries. Europeans love to look down their noses at us, but when they need help, they don't mind asking us for it, and we don't mind giving it. Excuse me, but I'm proud of our service to others.

The best thing about being American is all the other counties want to know why we're proud to be Americans. We have freedoms most counties don't have. We can change leaders every four years. We can change laws if we get out and vote to change them. We can work at any job we want to and change if we want to change. Lot's of people in the world must like it because we can't seem to keep them from crossing our borders.

i think of the conventional American citizen is a competent hearted individual. beneficiant to something of the worldwide and accepting of human beings from different international locations as long as they stick to the immigration regulations. Mose human beings in united states of america of america are like human beings from different international locations. we could like o furnish a competent existence for our families and stay in peace. Now if shall we basically get our government (even with political celebration) to renounce being the worldwide police and stay out of everyones company, maybe something of the worldwide could be waiting to be certain that we are no longer very distinctive from them.

I'm not an American but think the best think is that its a land of opportunities for movie stars and famous people. Its always a very big continent. That's all.
