One school of thought is this: that there really is not so much problem with the count, as it only takes one good sperm to ferilize an egg. Thhis source says that, if the count is only 'low' and not absent, then it is worth it to try for a year for a pregnancy. If after two years of trying there is no success then we have to look for some kind of help to get pregnant. The source says there is no current way to increase the sperm count, but that in vitro fertilization using a concentrated amount of sperm is the most successful method. here's the link:
