hey listen ive been a victim of the friend thing too with a certain woman but lucky for her she gave me a chance now she's my wife. give him a shot ,what do u have to lose right. its just a date and you have been friends for a bit so u already know each other, thats the first hurdle already overcome good luck

Be honest with him. If he is a good friend he'll understand and not want to ruin your friendship. I hope you told him you loved him back because friendship love is important too.

tell him that u are better as friends and u dont want to lose that cause if the relationship didnt work u would hate to lose his friendship and that means more to u than anything having him there as a great friend

Tell him how you feel. Trying a relationship (knowing that it won't work) is a sure failure. Plus, you don't want to destroy the good friendship you have now.
