Never had a cat , but my dog loves cheddar cheese. I might give him a tiny bit as a treat occasionally, but I would suggest that giving your cat it's own weight in cheese on a daily basis ,may result in some adverse results !

A cat liking something that is not good for her is not a rare thing. Mine loves canned corn, but since I read how bad exactly corn is for cats, I haven't allowed him to get any outside what is already in the food I feed him. Anyway, the point is that your cat can still be lactose intolerant... and processed food is not good for her too.

However, I would guess in small quantities it should be OK. Like, as a rare treat, when you want to praise her very much. I would not think it should be a part of her regular diet...

Cats can be scavengers and eat anything. My male cat....I'm willing to bet he'll try anything once. But here's the kicker; your cat may be lactose intolerant. If my male drinks milk, he vomits 5-10 minutes later. Cheese, on the other hand, doesn't bother him at all (in small quantities, which is all we've ever let him have). The process of making cheese changes the enzymes.

So if it's not bothering her, giving it to her as a rare treat is fine.

As long as you don't see her vomiting it up, or say not going to the bathroom for a couple days then yes, she's fine. You just have to make sure she isn't eating too much because there is always the possibility that she could get constipated just like any human.

My cat loves regular American cheese. She also loves grape Popsicles and pickles.

I certainly think that you shouldn't give her too much as cheese is high in fat and could give her a weight problem. I think if she was lactose intolerant you would have seen some reaction by now

Yeah, you're not supposed to give them dairy are you, they sell special cat milk now, I know cats though who eat; pasta, carrots, ice cream, rice pudding, chips, soup- my kitten will eat anything and everything on my plate given 1/2 a chance, my parent's old cat used to get weetabix with hot milk for breakfast every day as she couldn't eat regular cat food as she had no teeth really and was quite poorly. I think a treat is fine, but try to keep quantities limited as they can't really do them much good.

For ingesting as a cheese on my own, extra sharp cheddar is actual super. I make recipes utilising medium or white cheddar of Colby because of the fact extra sharp and sharp are, nicely, too sharp in maximum cases. gentle does not have plenty use except blended with some sharper cheese, because of the fact it makes a brilliant companion in user-friendly terms, for my style, no longer for ingesting with the help of itself. thank you for asking.

its probably not a good idea to give you cat cheese regularly because things like milk, cheese and chocolate are generally not good for cats in large amounts so you should only give your cat things like cheese every now and then

My granny's cat Mick used to eat Edam cheese in small amounts but his real favourite was Cornflakes. He lived to a ripe old age.

Mine likes parmesan, but don't give your cats loads of cheese coz it could upset their tummy, a small bit every now and again is ok.
