eczema is awful!! Its been in my family for ages!! My oldest son who is now 20 (eek!) had it very badly and it was bathing with stuff in the bath and the rubbing cream all over. The same with my sister's little boy who is nearly 11 now and he still gets some really bad outbreaks of eczema. I am pretty sure that not many people who havent had this awful awful illness will understand and, unfortunately, people do tend to look and stare but just remember that everyone in this world has an issue in one way or another so you dont really want to be bothered by what other people think!! Also, you have to believe the people that you know who say different, they arent simply being nice to you. They love you for who you are!!! That is whats important!! Take care and remember eczema does eventually settle down with medication (which is a pain the asssss) and maybe a few changes in your diet. Good luck

You can assist your immune system to heal your skin naturally by avoiding using soap (shampoo, detergent, etc.). Instead, try to find a colloidal oatmeal containing soap-free wash for body and face and a shampoo containing the same ingredient. Aveeno or Equate both make those type of products. The other thing is
to reduce your exposure to hot water. That means short (5 mins max) showers and no baths. Soap and hot water combine to remove sebum from the pores of the skin and deep into the
sebaceous glands, inhibiting sebum production causing dryness and itchiness. Sebaceous glands are controlled by hormones and the immune system, which wheatgrass appears to
strengthen naturally. Apply the Dr Wheatgrass Recovery Cream twice daily or more often if necessary. As well as strengthening the skin's immunity, biological actives from the wheatgrass are absorbed into the body and in time, the patient’s immune status becomes stronger. Please see the website below for more information or ask Dr. Reynolds a question regarding your specific symptoms.

Ever heard of Melaleca? Not trying to sell u anything I swear! But they have a cream called "Renew Lotion" It works better than the prescription creams we HAD to use on my son. We no longer use the prescription, he hasn't had an outbreak in forever, and if his skin does get a little dry we can now use a lotion like Jergins cooling lotion (doesnt burn) just once, and his skin is back to normal, soft, little boy skin! And his eczema went from his neck/shoulders all the way to his ankles, with his butt being the worst! And we're talking bleeding, huge, sores. Its been 4 years now, so look em up, there on the net. melaleuca.com it doesnt hurt to look.

Eczema is dibilitating and doctors are stupid when it comes to things like this. I am working on a cure, but I am not a doctor yet but here are some things I have found that help. First of all let me explain to you what Eczema is caused from. It is caused by Candidia or too much yeast; it is like a yeast infection in the skin. Yeast infections are caused from antibiotics, too much sugar, chemicals in the body, such as tabacco, alcohol, preservitives in food, artificial colors or flavors. Once your bodies Ph is set off by one or more of these things a person develops Candiditis. Heres how to make it better:
*Eat orgainic food
*Do not eat sugar (especially artifical sweetenters) pork or anything with yeast (it needs to say gluten free on it) in it such as bread, pasta, beer ect.
*Take acidophilous 30 minutes before each meal(get it at the health food store in the refridgerator section and keep refridgerated)
*Drink half your weight in ounces of water each day.
*Take a multivitamin daily. Make sure it is a capsule and not a tablet.
*Supplement your diet with omega-6

The thought is if the bodies ph is restored you should only need to do this for a few months and then everything will be ok again. I have been doing it for 1 month and my eczema is drastically improved but not completly gone. The thing is there is no magic cure in a bottle. We have to clean all that nasty american crappy posion they call food out of our bodies and allow it to heal before it will be gone. Good Luck.

I have severe psoriasis, even though its completely different to eczma I understand where you're coming from, I have it on my face and hands and I often have to go to hospital coz its so bad, but I can always get a boyfriend, I always have friends, looks dont matter to most people, and if they do then those people arent worth knowing! Beauty is whats on the inside, not on the outside, I know it sounds hollow but its true :-D

When I had MRSA due to artificial Nails 7-8 months ago because I had scratched a cut on my leg . I also scrathced my face, arms, neck which gave me eczema. I felt really ugly. When I went out I couldn't wear any makeup and I wore my sunglasses. I put Cortaid Advanced on my face, neck, and arms and it went away quick. I have my usual flare-ups but they are little though and are on my arms.

There is an excellent website geared specifically to eczema and an explanation of how to get to the root cause, and not just scratch the surface (excuse the joke). I suffered for years with a similar immune disorder, hives, and within 6 weeks I was free of itches. For more info please contact me.

That sounds like me... I have it on my legs though so I can cover it up. I still feel insecure about it though, but if someone likes you or wants to be your friend they will accept you the way you are! Good luck with everything, I know the how annoying it is to put cream on everyday!

It must be an absolute nightmare for you.
Every-time you go through this ritual your reminded of your lot in life.
Try not to be cynical about these comments.
Your a friend in spite of your affliction and not because of it.
Because it's at the forefront of your mind, does not mean it's at the forefront of everybody Else's.
