Good luck with that. Most SMD ic's are bought in large quantity.
If it is for repair you'll probably wind up having to buy the whole board, which in most cases, is cheaper in the long run.
You could try Digikey.

I have never heard of one. What does it do, do you know? Try Jameco.com which is an electronics supplier. ICs are usually not that much, somewhere around a dollar to a few dollars. It really just depends on the IC.
