Mine's long but here goes.....My husband had a bad day at work, so I take him to Tia's. We sat beside a table of 8. We ordered Tea and our meal and sat there. The waiter came by but never actually stopped. He always asked how we were doing by just walking by. Our Tea ran out and he was constantly hovering by this table of people. We still didn't have our meals 30 minutes later, still no tea and a waiter who kept staying with this table. He apparently knew this group, he stood there forever chatting with them. Well, finally he went back to the kitchen and brought out our fajitas. Normally fajitas sizzle right? Not ours. So we just finally got so frustrated we asked for a to go box and we would eat it at home from another waiter walking by. Still no tea refills at this point either. We waited another 20 minutes for the to go boxes....then he comes to the table with the check and asked if everything was alright! I told him I thought our service was bad. He looked at me like I was crazy! Well, we payed our bill and did not leave a tip, on purpose. Our car was parked in the front & there were windows directly where the group (he was so interested in) was sitting, right in front of our car. As I buckled my seat belt I caught a glimpse of him...giving us the FINGER! I went back in & got the manager and while I am retelling the story to the manager, he is watching & laughing. Standing there in plain view with his little table laughing. I showed her, she nodded and aplologized. She gave our money back and we started to leave and again, as I am putting my seatbelt on I glance back up and now they are all giving us the finger, all 8 of them, including the waiter again. My husband says call 911 because there is going to be a fight. He heads directly in to the waiter and I run to the manager while calling 911. He and the waiter are now in each other's faces screaming @ each other, and I am telling the manager to get me the district manager right now. The police arrive & they escort us out. We wait there until the district manager arrives. When he does, we all go through the whole ordeal & he asks me what I want to "achieve" out of this & I told him I wanted this guys job since he couldn't give me his head on a silver platter! The DM did fire him, in front of us. And of course the guy left....giving us the finger! We did get a $100.00 gift certificate to Tia's out of the ordeal, but we never, ever, never go out to dinner if we've had a bad day now!

Place in Bluewater....name escapes me. We arrived and ordered drinks. The drinks were clearly visible on the bar for 10 minutes before I walked up and collected them myself. We ordered the starters and a paella which they said would take 45 minutes to cook. Starters came and were ok and then 45 minutes later they came and said our paella order had not gone through and would be another 45 minutes. I blew my top and said the service was a disgrace. The spineless manager blamed it on a new waitress that had started that night. I said there's no way you can blame the poor girl because you havent given here the correct support or training. I walked out refusing to pay for drinks and starters and then stood outside for 20 minutes turning about 8 couples away because the service was lousy and they couldnt cope. The manager was getting very irate by this time and threatened to call the police but it was very funny and a great way to respond to bad service in restaurants!

Sheffield - NIRMALS - an Indian I went to about 4 years ago. The place is supposed to be in Egon or something, but I had such aweful food its stayed with me (the memory that is, the food left me from both ends within 30 mins) all this time.
What made it worse was that you couldnt have what you ordered. This fat Indian lady (roles of flesh, yuk) sat at our table to take the order & kept telling us to pick something else. She went on & on until we did. What came was crap. I guess she was trying to get rid of the slow sellers. What made it EVEN worse was that I went with my then girl-friend & her folks. I was trying to impress them. Her Pop (who used to live in India) actually made an excuse rather than eat it. I cant recall what now. No doubt the place is shut now...I hope so.

Got a few, in mexico went to a resaurant, a girl on the ship i worked on said was amazing, was not sure what i was eating, found out it was fish guts fried!!!
went to one of perth, australias supposedly best restaurant, the sky high rotating one, waited 30mins before we were even asked if we wanted to order a drink, the food was crap, and they charged like a wounded bull.
But the worst was an indian in Liverpool, uk, who tried to tell us the meat in our curry (indian) was supposed to be RAW
turned out they didnt come in early enough to cook it, so just served it as is
Oh once had a chinese women who tried to tell my muslim friends, with the biggest friendliest smile in the world, that all her meat was halal, even the pork!!! lol

In a big museum in East Berlin in January 1970, the restaurant produced chicken fricassee which, as well as the usual meat, contained bones sliced into rings, big expanses of skin, beak and feathers - all swimming in light brown water, which also lay in puddles on the table.

I discovered afterwards it was the staff canteen. Poor devils.

Before placing an order at bob and ann's one day for dinner, the waistress took it upon herself to show me a cartoon picture of a waitress spitting on the customers food for not previously tipping her. I got up and left, and never returned.

a west indian resturant, the food was inedible, went to the mens, and mould literally was growing from the ceiling, wouldn't be so bad if the toliet door wasn't proped open with the door immedietly to the left of it being the proped open door to the kitchen. filth
