yes he was & he is still a prophet but he belongs to the "minor" prophets" in the bible. He was very wise & have lots of prophecies with concerns to the future & the end of age. Which by the way can be anytime now so are you prepared if not then you would have to go through the "tribulation period".

Yes he is consider not only a very wise man but a prophet.
He made many prophecies also.
Some of them have become true in our days, other in the past, and some are still to come!

Daniel interpreted dreams. Many dreams predicted the future. That seems like prophesy to me.
